Lillard’s 3 stifles Mavs’ comeback

DALLAS — Damian Lillard hit a tiebreaking 3-pointer for Portland in the final minute after a big Dallas rally, and the Trail Blazers overcame another high-scoring outing from Luka Doncic in a 121-118 victory over the Mavericks on Sunday night.

Lillard finished with 34 points and 11 assists. Doncic scored 44 points.

NUGGETS 122, LAKERS 105

Nikola Jokic had a triple-double with 23 points 16 rebounds and 10 assists, Jamal Murray had 25 points and host Denver beat Los Angeles.

LeBron James barely missed a triple-double of his own, finishing with 22 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Anthony Davis (15 points) gingerly made his way to the locker room after appearing to reaggravate a sore right Achilles late in the first half.

Dejounte Murray had 26 points and 12 rebounds, and visiting San Antonio outlasted Charlotte.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored seven of his 20 points late in the fourth quarter before fouling out, and visiting Minnesota snapped a four-game skid with a win over Toronto in Tampa, Fla.
