Lillard’s 3 stifles Mavs’ comeback

DALLAS — Damian Lillard hit a tiebreakin­g 3-pointer for Portland in the final minute after a big Dallas rally, and the Trail Blazers overcame another high-scoring outing from Luka Doncic in a 121-118 victory over the Mavericks on Sunday night.

Lillard finished with 34 points and 11 assists. Doncic scored 44 points.

NUGGETS 122, LAKERS 105

Nikola Jokic had a triple-double with 23 points 16 rebounds and 10 assists, Jamal Murray had 25 points and host Denver beat Los Angeles.

LeBron James barely missed a triple-double of his own, finishing with 22 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Anthony Davis (15 points) gingerly made his way to the locker room after appearing to reaggravat­e a sore right Achilles late in the first half.

SPURS 122, HORNETS 110

Dejounte Murray had 26 points and 12 rebounds, and visiting San Antonio outlasted Charlotte.

Derrick White had a season-high 25 points.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored seven of his 20 points late in the fourth quarter before fouling out, and visiting Minnesota snapped a four-game skid with a win over Toronto in Tampa, Fla.

Kyle Lowry led the Raptors with 24 points.

Bradley Beal returned from a rare night off to score 35 points, Russell Westbrook was a rebound short of a triple-double with 13 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds, and host Washington beat Boston on Sunday.

Kemba Walker and Jalen Brown each scored 25 points for Boston.

Mason Plumlee had 17 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for his first tripledoub­le, and host Detroit beat New Orleans.

Josh Jackson led Detroit with 21 points.

Devin Booker scored 27 points, Mikal Bridges added 21 and host Phoenix cruised to its sixth straight victory, beating Orlando.

Lou Williams had season highs of 30 points and 10 assists in his first start of the season, and host Los Angeles Clippers defeated Cleveland, sending the Cavaliers to their seventh straight loss.

Jonas Valanciuna­s was among seven Memphis players to record doublefigu­re scoring with 25 points and 13 rebounds, beating host Sacramento.
