Hot Jazz keep rolling, rout Lakers

SALT LAKE CITY — Rudy Gobert and Jordan Clarkson each scored 18 points and the Utah Jazz routed the Los Angeles Lakers 114-89 Wednesday night.

Gobert also had nine rebounds for Utah (26-6), which won for the 22nd time in its last 24 games — with 20 of those victories coming by double-digits.

LeBron James scored 19 points and Montrzel Harrell added 16 to lead the Lakers (22-11), who lost their fourth straight and fifth in six games.

HAWKS 127, CELTICS 112

Danilo Gallinari set an Atlanta franchise record with 10 3-pointers in a 38-point spree that carried host Atlanta to a rout of Boston.

Gallinari broke the mark of nine 3-pointers by Steve Smith in a 1997 game against Seattle. The Hawks also eclipsed the overall team record by going 23 of 42 beyond beyond the arc.

Trae Young played like an All-Star, adding 33 points for the Hawks.

Gallinari equaled the best scoring half of his career with 24 points. He finished 10 of 12 from 3point range and 13 of 16 overall.

WARRIORS 111, PACERS 107

Stephen Curry scored 24 points, Draymond Green fell just short of a tripledoub­le and weary Golden State won at Indianapol­is.

Green had 12 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and three steals. The Warriors took control with a late 6-0 run to seal their second straight victory on a fourgame trip.

Malcolm Brogdon led the Pacers with 24 points, and Domantas Sabonis had 22 points and 16 rebounds.

PELICANS 128, PISTONS 118

Zion Williamson scored 32 points in his first game since being named a firsttime All-Star, and host New Orleans beat Detroit.

Williamson made 13 of his 18 shots in reaching the 30-point threshold for the eighth time this season.

Brandon Ingram added 27 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for New Orleans.

THUNDER 102, SPURS 99

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored a career-high 42 points and Lu Dort hit a 3-pointer as time expired to help host Oklahoma City edge San Antonio.

San Antonio turned the ball over with 3.9 seconds remaining, giving Oklahoma City the ball with the score tied. Dort’s corner 3-pointer dropped as the buzzer sounded, and his teammates mobbed him.

Dejounte Murray had 27 points for the Spurs.

HEAT 116, RAPTORS 108

Jimmy Butler scored 27 points, 14 of them in the final quarter, and Miami won its fourth consecutiv­e game by topping Toronto at Miami.

Butler also had 10 assists and eight rebounds for the Heat, plus a season-high three 3-pointers — two of them in the final minutes. Bam Adebayo had 19 points and 12 rebounds for Miami.

It was the eighth win in the last 11 games for the Heat, who started the season 7-14.

Kyle Lowry scored 24 for Toronto.

Fred VanVleet also had 24 for the Raptors.

BULLS 133 TIMBERWOLV­ES 126 (OT)

Zach LaVine celebrated his first All-Star selection with 35 points against his original NBA team, helping host Chicago beat Minnesota in overtime.

Chicago shot 59 percent from the field and had seven players score in double figures during its fifth win in six games.

Malik Beasley scored 25 points for Minnesota, which lost for the 10th time in 11 games.

HORNETS 124, SUNS 121

Malik Monk led seven Charlotte players in double figures in scoring with 29 points and LaMelo Ball had 20 points and eight assists as the Hornets won at Phoenix.

Devin Booker, who was selected Wednesday to replace injured Lakers forward Anthony Davis in the NBA All-Star Game, had a game-high 33 points for the Suns.
