76ers cap road stretch atop East

DALLAS — Joel Embiid scored 36 points and the Philadelph­ia 76ers wrapped up a long stretch of mostly road games with a 113-95 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.

The 76ers finished 8-4 while playing 10 of 12 games on the road going into their final regularsea­son meeting with Brooklyn. Philadelph­ia took a half-game lead atop the Eastern Conference over the Nets

Stephen Curry scored 53 points and passed Wilt Chamberlai­n for the most points in Warriors franchise history in Golden State’s win over Denver. Curry scored 21 points in the first quarter, giving him 17,786 in his career. That passed Chamberlai­n’s 17,783, a record he’d held since 1964.

SPURS 120, MAGIC 97

DeMar DeRozan scored 19 points in under three quarters, Dejounte Murray added 17 and San Antonio scored a rout on the road at Orlando. The Spurs’ wins Sunday and Monday gave them their first consecutiv­e wins since a threegame streak on March 15-19.

PELICANS 117, KINGS 110

Brandon Ingram scored 34 points, Zion Williamson added 30 and host New Orleans held off a furious Sacramento comeback.

WIZARDS 125, JAZZ 121

Bradley Beal scored 34 points to help Washington stop Utah’s franchiser­ecord, 24-game home winning streak.

Russell Westbrook had 25 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists for the Wizards. Donovan Mitchell scored 42 points for Utah.

KNICKS 111, LAKERS 96

Julius Randle had 34 points and 10 rebounds against his former team and New York secured its third straight victory. Coming off tense finishes against Memphis and Toronto, the Knicks led comfortabl­y at home for much of the fourth and moved back above .500 at 28-27.

GRIZZLIES 101, BULLS 90

Jonas Valanciuna­s had 26 points and 14 rebounds, leading a fourth-quarter burst that carried host Memphis over Chicago. Valanciuna­s had 32 points and 22 rebounds a night earlier in a loss to the Indiana Pacers.
