The Village senior living triumphs over winter storm
During Houston’s historic winter storm in the middle of February 2021, much of the city’s population had a major lifestyle change. Temporarily losing items you take for granted such as power and water, many were left struggling to stay warm, and properly fed and hydrated.
At senior living communities like The Village of Meyerland, The Village of Southampton, The Village of River Oaks, and The Village of Tanglewood, they were able to overcome the challenges that were presented.
The Village communities consist of team members who go above and beyond for its residents that require more attention and assistance than most.
Their primary focus was, and continues to be, the health and safety of their residents. Anticipating potential impassable roads, frequent power outages, or any other potential challenge, team members stepped up to the challenge. Team members stayed overnight for several days, communities provided shelter for other senior living communities needing to relocate, and worked overtime to ensure challenges were met and addressed in a timely manner.
Because The Village of Meyerland, The Village of Southampton, The Village of River Oaks, and The Village of Tanglewood team members are committed to the health, safety, and comfort of their residents, meals were served, medications were delivered, and most importantly, the team provided a caring and supportive environment.
The greatest amount of gratitude is not enough to properly express how thankful the greater community and families are knowing their loved ones are being cared for by a team of individuals that are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care, even during an unprecedented event such as Houston’s recent winter storm.
The Village communities range in services such as independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
