Cink claims third RBC Heritage title

HILTON HEAD, S.C. — Stewart Cink shot a steady, stress-free 70 to cap off a dominant, recordbrea­king week and win his third RBC Heritage title Sunday.

The 47-year-old Cink finished at 19-under 265 at Harbour Town, four better than Emiliano Grillo and Harold Varner III.

In other golf news:

• Steve Stricker closed with a 5-under 67 for a one-shot win in the Chubb Classic in Naples, Fla.

Robert Karlsson of Sweden and qualifier Alex Cejka of Germany tied for second.

MOTOR SPORTS Bowman rallies to win Richmond

Alex Bowman passed Denny Hamlin on a restart with 10 laps to go and drove away at Richmond (Va.) Raceway for his third career victory in the NASCAR Cup Series.

In other news:

• Alex Palou celebrated his move to Chip Ganassi Racing with his first career IndyCar victory at Birmingham, Ala.

The Spaniard held off Will Power and Scott Dixon over the closing laps.

COLLEGE BASEBALL Jozwiak, A&M outlast Arkansas

With the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, Aggie southpaw Chandler Jozwiak needed just eight pitches to strike out the Razorbacks’ No. 2 and 3 hitters, sealing Texas A&M’s 11-10 victory over No. 1 Arkansas at Fayettevil­le, Ark., in the finale of the threegame series.

• Mike Antico went 3-for-4 with a triple, a home run, one walk, three RBIs and scored three runs as No. 3 Texas routed Abilene Christian 11-1 at Austin. Texas has won 13 in a row to improve to 30-8.

• Maui Ahuna’s RBI single in the ninth inning lifted host Kansas to a 3-2 victory over Baylor.

Texas advances to regional finals

No. 4 seed Texas defeated No. 13 Penn State 3-1 in the round of 16 of the NCAA Tournament at Omaha, Neb.

Texas (25-1) rallied after dropping the first set to win (23-25, 25-18, 30-28, 25-17) to advance to the regional finals against Nebraska.

Earlier, Baylor saw its season come to an end with a 3-0 loss to Nebraska.

L.A. Galaxy holds off Inter Miami

Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez scored two goals and the L.A. Galaxy rallied to beat Inter Miami 3-2 in the opener for both teams at Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

• Andre Blake had six saves to help Philadelph­ia to a scoreless draw with host Columbus.
