Phillips, Rays end Mets’ streak

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Brett Phillips hit an RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning and the Tampa Bay Rays stopped the Mets’ seven-game winning streak, rallying past New York 3-2 Friday night.

Tied at 2, Tampa Bay loaded the bases with one out in the ninth against Miguel Castro (0-1) on a walk to Brandon Lowe, a single by Willy Adams and a walk to Mike Zunino.

Reliever Aaron Loup struck out Joey Wendle before Phillips singled.

ATHLETICS 6, TWINS 1: Ramon Laureano hit the first of Oakland’s four homers and Frankie Montas pitched six effective innings, helping Oakland win at Minneapoli­s. Sean Murphy and Stephen Piscotty each hit a tworun shot, and Mark Canha had a pinch-hit homer.

PIRATES 3, GIANTS 2 (11): Adam Frazier tripled home the tying run in the 11th inning with his fourth hit of the game and scored the winner on Gregory Polanco’s sacrifice fly as host Pittsburgh beat San Francisco.

RED SOX 4, ANGELS 3: Hunter Renfroe and Bobby Dalbec each hit a two-run homer, and Boston won at home.

YANKEES 5, ORIOLES 4: Aaron Judge hit two home runs, Gio Urshela had a go-ahead, pinch-hit shot and New York Yankees won at Baltimore.

PHILLIES 5, BLUE JAYS 1: Rhys Hoskins hit a threerun double during a five-run seventh inning and Philadelph­ia beat Toronto at Dunedin, Fla.

CUBS 4, TIGERS 2: Kris Bryant hit a two-run homer in the third inning, and Chicago went on to a victory at Detroit, ending the Tigers’ four-game winning streak.

BRAVES 6, BREWERS 3: Marcell Ozuna and Ozzie Albies hit Atlanta’s first back-to-back homers of the season to help the Braves snap a three-game skid with a win at Milwaukee.

DODGERS 9, MARLINS 6: Max Muncey hit a threerun home run and Clayton Kershaw racked up a seasonhigh 11 strikeouts to lead host Los Angeles over Miami.

MARINERS 7, INDIANS 3: Prized prospect Jarred Kelenic made his first major league hit memorable with a two-run homer and later added a pair of doubles as Seattle won at home.

NATIONALS 17, DIAMONDBAC­KS 2: Trea Turner hit his 14th career leadoff homer, Yan Gomes had five hits and Washington pounded host Arizona.

ROCKIES 9, REDS 6: Garrett Hampson led off the first inning with a triple, one of 15 hits for Colorado, and the Rockies spoiled Wade Miley’s encore to his first career no-hitter with a win over Cincinnati at Denver.

ROYALS, WHITE SOX SPLIT: Chicago’s Jose Abreu and Kansas City batter Hunter Dozier were forced to leave after a collision on a popup, and the Royals ended an 11-game losing streak with a 6-2 win at Chicago in the first game of a double header. Abreu suffered a facial bruise and cut, along with a bruised left knee.Dozier was put on the seven-day concussion injured list. The White Sox won the second game 3-1 as rookie Andrew Vaughan homered.
