BARBARA JEAN ROMAN HUMLICK

1939-2021

Barbara Jean Roman Humlick - Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sweet friend. She left this world unexpectedly with her husband, Jim and son, Jimmy by her side on August 12, 2021. She was born in 1939 in Woodland, CA and was a 1957 graduate of Yuba City HS in CA. She spent her early years working in her parent’s music hall where she developed a love for music & dancing. She met the love of her life when she was 12 and there was no looking back.

They married in 1957 and have been inseparable for 70 years. Not long after their wedding, kids started coming & quickly multiplied. They moved to Houston in 1972 where they added horses, chickens & many other pets to their family of six; then the adventures began! Though Barbara will be missed more than words can describe, we find comfort knowing she is without pain and at peace surrounded by her parents, Michael Roman & Jessie Roman and her oldest daughter, Rene Cioffi. She is survived by her childhood sweetheart and soulmate of 63 years, James Humlick. She is the much-loved mother of Rachelle Humlick, Robyn L. Smith & Husband, and Jimmy Humlick & wife. More than just a grandmother to Sean McCarty & wife, April Watson & husband, Amber Ratcliff & husband, Rachel McCarty, Brett Smith & wife, Cassie Gallaspy, Keith Streetman, Summer Humlick and Jake Humlick. She was a small but mighty great-grandmother to 7 great-grandchildren and was adored by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who love and miss her. Services are August 28, 2021 @ 10:00AM. Rosewood @ 59 North in Porter, TX.
