JOHN McCLAIN’S NFL POWER RANKINGS

WEEK 4

-

L.A. Rams 3-0 (ranked No. 2 last week): Matthew Stafford threw four TD passes to beat the Patriots. Next are the undefeated Cardinals.

Arizona 3-0 (3): The Cardinals have scored 103 points, tied for most in the NFL. They have an early NFC West showdown against the Rams.

Las Vegas 3-0 (4): Of the unbeaten teams, the Raiders qualify as the biggest surprise. They have a humongous game against the Chargers.

Tampa Bay 2-1 (1): After losing at the Rams, the Buccaneers go on the road to play New England. It’s Tom Brady’s homecoming game.

Green Bay 2-1 (16): The Packers have earned back-to-back victories, and they don’t get better than winning Sunday night at San Francisco.

Tennessee 2-1 (10): The Titans have won two consecutive games to lead the AFC South. They should have an easy victory against the Jets.

Baltimore 2-1 (6): Justin Tucker’s league-record 66-yard field goal beat Detroit. The Ravens face a much tougher challenge against Denver.

Carolina 3-0 (8): The Panthers could use injured running back Christian McCaffrey and cornerback Jaycee Horn in their Dallas game.

Denver 3-0 (9): The Broncos have won three games over teams that are 0-3. If they win at home against the Ravens, they’ll earn respect.

San Francisco 2-1 (5): The 49ers are coming off a devastating home loss to the Packers. They’ll try to recover at home vs. the Seahawks.

Buffalo 2-1 (13): The Bills beat Washington for their second consecutive victory. They should make it three in a row against the Texans.

Cleveland 2-1 (12): Going into their game at Minnesota, the Browns are stuck in a three-way deadlock for first place in the AFC North.

New Orleans 2-1 (14): For the first time since Hurricane Ida forced them to evacuate to Fort Worth, the Saints play in the Superdome.

L.A. Chargers 2-1 (19): The Chargers won at Kansas City to stay within one game of first place in the AFC West. They host the Raiders.

Kansas City 1-2 (7): Of the 1-2 teams, the Chiefs have to be the most disappointing. They can bounce back against Philadelphia.

Cowboys 2-1 (17): The Cowboys obliterated the Eagles to cement their lead in the NFC East. They have another home game vs. Carolina.

Cincinnati 2-1 (25): The Jaguars-Bengals game features Trevor Lawrence vs. Joe Burrow, QBs drafted first overall the last two years.

Minnesota 1-2 (27): Kirk Cousins ignited the lopsided win over Seattle. The Vikings should have a tough home game vs. the Browns.

Miami 1-2 (18): The Dolphins lost an overtime game to the Raiders. They’ll try to regroup behind Jacoby Brissett against the Colts.

Seattle 1-2 (11): After losing two in a row, the Seahawks are in last place in the NFC West entering their division game against the 49ers.

Pittsburgh 1-2 (15): For a second straight year, the Steelers struggle to run the ball. They’ll take a two-game losing streak to Green Bay.

New England 1-2 (20): In one of the biggest games in New England history, the Patriots host Tom Brady and the Bucs on Sunday night.

Washington 1-2(21): After getting embarrassed at Buffalo, Washington has a good chance to rebound with a road game against the Falcons.

Indianapolis 0-3 (23): This is the first time the Colts have lost their first three games since 2011, the year before they drafted Andrew Luck.

Philadelphia 1-2 (24): The Eagles looked awful in their Monday night loss at Dallas. They try to turn it around at home against Kansas City.

Chicago 1-2 (22): Justin Fields was terrible in his first start. The Bears might turn to Nick Foles in their home game against Detroit.

Houston 1-2 (26): The Texans have suffered back-to-back losses to the Browns and Panthers. The Bills should make it three in a row.

Atlanta 1-2 (29): New coach Arthur Smith finally got his first victory. After defeating the Giants, the Falcons entertain Washington.

N.Y. Giants 0-3 (30): The Giants allowed the Falcons to win their first game. They try to break their losing streak with a game at New Orleans.
