When/where: 2 p.m. at Durley Stadium

Update: North American is in its second season as a club team in Stafford. It’s homecoming for Texas Southern, which will be wearing new Riddell helmets donated by former TSU star Michael Strahan.

HBU (0-3) AT NICHOLLS (1-2)

When/where: 3:05 p.m. at Guidry Stadium, Thibodaux, La.

Update: HBU is coming off an open week going into its Southland opener. Huskies sophomore quarterbac­k Desmond Young is poised to make his first career start after an injury to Blaise Bentsen two weeks ago at Prairie View. The Huskies won the first meeting between the programs in 2014, but Nicholls has won the past five.

TEXAS TECH (3-1) AT WEST VIRGINIA (2-2)

When/where: 2:30 p.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium, Morgantown, W.Va.

TV: ESPN2.

Update: The Red Raiders are coming off a 70-35 blowout loss to Texas going into West Virginia’s homecoming. Henry Colombi is replacing injured quarterbac­k Tyler Shough (collarbone) for the Red Raiders, who have won two straight in the series. The Mountainee­rs didn’t trail at Oklahoma until the game’s final play in a crushing 16-13 defeat.

SOUTH FLORIDA (1-3) AT SMU (4-0)

When/where: 3 p.m. at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, Dallas.

TV: ESPNU.

Update: Freshman quarterbac­k Timmy McClain engineered five scoring drives over South Florida’s final six possession­s in a 35-27 defeat at BYU. SMU’s Tanner Mordecai leads the nation in passing touchdowns (20), and the Mustangs’ run game is also efficient, rushing for 350 yards in a 42-34 win over TCU.

BAYLOR (4-0) AT OKLAHOMA ST. (4-0)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, Okla.

TV: ESPN2.

Update: The Bears debuted in the AP poll at No. 21 this week, two spots behind the Cowboys, who have won their four games by a combined 24 points. Baylor’s Gerry Bohanon has completed 73.3 percent of his passes with no intercepti­ons. OSU’s Jaylen Warren has rushed for 387 yards replacing the injured Dezmon Jackson, who could return Saturday.

UNLV (0-4) AT UTSA (4-0)

When/where: 5 p.m. at the Alamodome, San Antonio. Update: UNLV, which is 0-10 over two seasons under coach Marcus Arroyo, has tried four quarterbac­ks. UTSA got four votes in the AP top 25 poll following last week’s 31-28 win at Memphis after trailing 21-0.

INCARNATE WORD (3-1) AT NORTHWESTE­RN ST. (0-3)

When/where: 6 p.m. at Turpin Stadium, Natchitoch­es, La.

Update: Incarnate Word is fresh off a 31-0 victory over McNeese. Cardinals quarterbac­k Cameron Ward has passed for 1,288 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Demons posted a season-high 423 yards in their previous game, a 35-10 loss to TennesseeM­artin.

OLD DOMINION (1-3) AT UTEP (3-1)

When/where: 7 p.m. at the Sun Bowl, El Paso. Update: Down 28 points to Buffalo, Old Dominion rallied but fell short last week in a 35-34 defeat. Entering CUSA play, UTEP is 3-1 for the first time since 2010.
