Fiedler, Rice win in triple overtime
ESTERO, Fla. — Max Fiedler had 30 points and 12 rebounds, Chris Mullins added 25 points and Rice beat Evansville 109104 in triple overtime in the Gulf Coast Showcase on Monday.
Travis Evee added 19 points for Rice (4-1).
“I’m really proud of our kids. That was a mature win. The guys never panicked,” Rice coach Scot Pera said.
Jawaun Newton led the Purple Aces (2-4) with 30 points. Antoine Smith Jr. contributed 24 points.

Javante McCoy posted 14 points as Boston University topped the Bearkats at Jacksonville, Fla.
Jonas Harper had 12 points for Boston University (4-2). Savion Flagg had 15 points for the Bearkats (2-3). Tristan Ikpe added 10 points.

Aliyah Boston had 22 points and 15 rebounds and the Gamecocks held the Huskies to three points in the final 10 minutes of a victory in the championship game of the inaugural Battle 4 Atlantis tournament at Paradise Island, Bahamas.
The Gamecocks (6-0) wouldn’t let the Huskies (3-1) beat them in the Bahamas, outscoring them 16-3 in the final quarter.
