The holidays are special at Treemont

-

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Treemont Retirement Community. The main tree is decorated with sparkling lights and large ornaments for all to see. The fireplace warms the main lobby with its wonderful glow. Residents and their family and friends are visiting one another. This is such a special time of the year and Treemont Retirement Community continues to opens its door to spread their holiday cheer!

Activities director Rose Lau plans community-wide events for all residents, family, and friends to share and create new holiday traditions. There will be a Winter Gala featuring The Lone Star Big Band. The band will be playing some of the best songs from the past and classic holiday tunes to dance and sing along. This gala is part of their annual holiday party. You can always expect delicious finger foods created by Chef James Renshaw.

The season is not over yet. This year Treemont will have music and hot chocolate featuring Jon Dameron, the country western singer. Residents enjoy dancing the two-step and sipping some sweet cocoa. There will also be a winter sweaters happy hour with Curtis, who knows how to sing and play the piano. He knows how to get you off your feet and dancing.

Lastly, Treemont residents know how to ring in the New Year. This year, they will be having a black and white party with The Mark Prause Band. Champagne is abundantly flowing and many more memories are to be made.

Throughout the month of December, there are a wide range of holiday crafts that are made. Residents participate in ornament making, decorating stockings, and creating homemade Christmas cards. Movie Mondays plays favorite holiday classics. There is even the annual Christmas lights bus trip. In the dining room, you can find your favorite holiday dishes served with a smile. You can spot gift giving and neighbors laughing amongst each other. You will also hear Christmas carols throughout the community. It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Treemont Retirement Community.
