Born in New Orleans in 1943, She was married at a very young age and raised her three children as a single mom. Her strict devotion was to her family. She left her life and family in New Orleans to start a new life in Houston in 1975. This was one of the hardest things she ever did, but she would have done anything for her children. Throughout the years she often traveled back home to New Orleans to visit the city and all of those she loved. Family gatherings and weekends and holidays in New Orleans are fond memories that will live on forever. In Houston, she was a successful businesswoman who repositioned several companies over the years. After retiring she returned to New Orleans to live out her dream of living in the French Quarter and enjoying all of the festivities the city has to offer. She did eventually return to TX to spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Her children remember her as the strongest, most courageous and dedicated mother they have ever known. She would have gone to the ends of the earth for them, and they knew it, loved it and appreciated her for it.

Jo Ann has courageously and selflessly donated her body to science in hopes of helping others. Due to Covid, a gathering of friends and family will be at a later date.
