Morant, Grizzlies win seventh in a row
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Ja Morant had 22 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Memphis built an early lead and coasted to a 118-88 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night for the Grizzlies’ seventh straight win.
Dillon Brooks finished with 18 points for Memphis.

RJ Barrett banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give host New York a comeback victory over Boston.
Evan Fournier scored a career-high 41 points, and the Knicks overcame a 24-point, second-quarter deficit.
Jayson Tatum scored 36 points for Boston.
SUNS 106, CLIPPERS 89
Chris Paul had a tripledouble with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to help Phoenix win at home.
The Suns became the first team in the NBA to win 30 games this season and moved a game ahead of Golden State for the best record in the league.
Cam Johnson added a career-high 24 points, and Jalen Smith had 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Suns.
PELICANS 101, WARRIORS 96
Brandon Ingram broke out of a shooting slump with 32 points and host New Orleans snapped a three-game skid with a victory over Golden State.
Warriors’ leading scorer Stephen Curry was ruled out after hurting his left quad during a loss a night earlier in Dallas. Also held out was veteran leader and leading rebounder Draymond Green because of a sore hip.
Andrew Wiggins scored 21 points for the Warriors.
GOBERT TESTS POSITIVE
Utah’s Rudy Gobert has tested positive for COVID-19
and was placed Thursday on the virusrelated protocols list. He has been ruled out for Utah’s game Friday in Toronto.
Gobert is the second Jazz player on the protocols list, joining Joe Ingles.
BUCKS WAIVE COUSINS
The Milwaukee Bucks waived DeMarcus Cousins on Thursday, a little over a month after signing the veteran center.
Milwaukee had until Friday to to guarantee his contract for the rest of the season or waive him.
Bucks guard Jrue Holiday was added to the protocols list Thursday.
