Texas Tech (13-3, 3-1 Big 12) never trailed two nights after its 65-62 win at top-ranked Baylor that ended the nation’s longest winning streak at 21 games. The Red Raiders beat then-No. 6 Kansas in their previous home game last Saturday.

Bryce Thompson had 14 points for Oklahoma State (8-7, 1-3), which has lost six of its last eight games.

Oregon (10-6, 3-2 Pac-12) won its fourth in a row. The Ducks swarmed the court and their loud celebration in the locker room echoed throughout a mostly empty Pauley Pavilion.

NO. 1 SOUTH CAROLINA 65 TEXAS A&M 45

Aliyah Boston had 19 points and 15 rebounds for her 10th consecutive double-double, and the No. 1 Gamecocks used a third-quarter surge to put away the visiting Aggies.

South Carolina (16-1, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) needed a 15-2 run after halftime to take control. Texas A&M (10-6, 0-4) tied it at 26-all on Kayla Wells’ opening basket of the period. That’s when South Carolina turned things up. Destanni Henderson had a pair of 3-pointers while Boston added another inside bucket.

When Zia Cooke hit a 3pointer, South Carolina led 41-28 and would not be caught as the Aggies opened conference play with four straight defeats — something it had never done since joining the league before the 2012-13 season.

WESTERN KENTUCKY 78 RICE 61

Maya Bokunewicz and Haylee Swayze scored 14 points each, but their efforts weren’t enough to keep the Owls from falling to the Hilltoppers at Tudor Fieldhouse. Destiny Jackson had 11 points, and Malia Fisher added 10 for Rice (5-5, 0-2 Conference USA).
