Fans of the hit Netflix show “Squid Game” now have a chance to compete in a reality show based on the South Korean series — albeit a much less violent version of the original show.

Netflix has put out a casting call for “Squid Game: The Challenge.” The show will have 456 players who compete in a series of games for $4.56 million.

The reality series comes just days after “Squid Game” was approved for a second season. In the original series, 456 people play deadly versions of children’s games to compete for millions, and only the lone survivor of the competition walks away with the winnings.

“Squid Game took the world by storm with Director Hwang (Dong-hyuk)’s captivating story and iconic imagery,” Brandon Riegg, Netflix vice president of unscripted and documentary series, said in a news release. “We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment.”

The casting call says “players will be put to the test in a series of games inspired by the show, along with some surprising new additions that will push them to their limits.

Strategy, alliances and character are crucial in order to survive the tension.”

To enter, Netflix says competitors have to be at least 21.

On the application for the new challenge game, Netflix says “real-life players will be immersed in the iconic Squid Game universe and will never know what’s coming next. Here they’ll compete in a series of heart-stopping games in order to become the sole survivor*.” The asterik leads to a message: “*Please note: Win or lose, all players will leave unscathed.”

The casting call asks people to submit a one-minute video about themselves, giving “insight into your strategy,” why they want to compete and what they would do if they won.

When entering, do not use a filter on the video.

A head shot and full-length picture also should be sent in with the video. Multiple photos are welcome.

According to the U.S. casting site, candidates must be able to take up to four weeks to participate in the program, likely around early next year.
