NIKKI LEMEUNIER STASNY
May 10, 1952 - June 26, 2022
Nikki LeMeunier Stasny was born on May 10, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and died peacefully in her home on June 26, 2022, in Pearland, Texas.
She attended Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans and married her high school sweetheart, Charles “Chuck” Stasny. They were celebrating 50 years of marriage in September. They have two daughters, Danielle and Meredith.
Nikki worked at several accounting firms and specialized in tax preparation. In 2001, Nikki helped Chuck realize his dream of owning an automotive shop when they purchased Houston AAMCO Car Care. Nikki provided accounting support for AAMCO, helping to propel it to a top-grossing AAMCO nationwide.
Nikki’s greatest joy was her four grandchildren – her “honey bunnies.” She was always the loudest one cheering at recitals, performances, and games. It was clear that she loved them wholeheartedly.
Nikki also had a passion for sewing. In addition to sewing anything and everything for her grandchildren, she was a regular participant in the Wee Care Project, sewing smocked gowns to clothe babies who died at birth. She was the current treasurer of the Midnight Oil Smockers, and loved attending the Quilt Festival with her best friend Linda.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kathlyn and Nock LeMeunier; and her brothers, Michael LeMeunier and Lawrence LeMeunier. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Stasny; her daughters, Danielle Herrera (Miguel) and Meredith McCrary (Benjamin); her grandchildren, Isabel and Francesca Herrera and Deacon and Reid McCrary; her siblings, Scott LeMeunier, Andree Bruno, Francis Nock LeMeunier, III (Jennifer), and Leslie LeMeunier (Mindy); and her mother-in-law, Lou Stasny.
Visitation and a Memorial Service will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home in Friendswood. Fr. John Rooney will preside over the service.
