Rookie Levis to remain as Titans’ starting QB
Tennessee coach Mike Vrabel said Tuesday that rookie Will Levis will remain the Titans starting quarterback after two starts in place of injured veteran Ryan Tannehill.
Vrabel announced the starting change and said he already had informed the Titans (3-5) earlier Tuesday. They visit Tampa Bay (3-5) on Sunday.
“We think that’s the best opportunity for our football team right now,” Vrabel said.
The Titans will see how Tannehill progresses from the right ankle he sprained Oct. 15 in a loss to Baltimore in London, but Vrabel expects the 35-year-old veteran to be the backup to Levis.In two starts, Levis has four touchdown passes and one interception.
Rams to add Wentz: The Los Angeles Rams are signing seven-year veteran quarterback Carson Wentz, a person with knowledge of the deal said. Wentz has been out of the NFL this season after starting seven games last season for Washington.
Woods to play in new venture
Tiger Woods and his TGR Ventures and David Blitzer, the investor who has ownership in all four major sports leagues, were announced as owners of Jupiter Links GC, the sixth and final team for TGL, the tech-infused golf league that starts in January. Play begins Jan. 9 with two-hour matches from SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., to be televised on ESPN on Mondays and/or Tuesday, ending before the Masters.
KU makes Self top-paid coach
Kansas coach Bill Self signed a lifetime contract Tuesday that will pay him $53 million over the first five years, easily surpassing Kentucky’s John Calipari for the richest deal ever given to a college basketball coach at a public university.
At the conclusion of each year, another is added to the deal, and Self will earn a one-time, $5 million retention bonus if he serves out the first five.

Orlando City nets spot in East semis
Iván Angulo scored in the sixth minute to help second-seeded Orlando City advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 1-0 victory over host Nashville on Tuesday night.
Orlando (19-7-9) earned its third straight 1-0 win over Nashville. The Lions had won only one of their nine meetings with Nashville in all competitions before winning the last three.
