-

There are thousands of examples of how so-called PAIS (positive activity interventions, which are essentially nothing more than positive thoughts) affect bodily processes— even when medications and operations fail: For example, an experiment at the University of Georgia showed that two 15-minute meditation sessions helped reduce high blood pressure in the long term as well as prevent diseases. Studies conducted with twins also show that a positive outlook on life is only about 25% innate, meaning the rest can be changed.
