A study of 168 de­pressed teenagers found that 44% were able to ef­fec­tively play their de­pres­sion away with com­puter games. They killed mon­sters that rep­re­sented their neg­a­tive emo­tions. Two-thirds of the re­main­ing sub­jects were able to re­duce their symp­toms. Such “health games” can also help with para­noia and asthma.
