HOW IS MY FACEPRINT CALCULATED?
Since 2012, police officers in the U.S. have been making use of the FBI’S Universal Face Workstation to track down criminals. Using a faceprint, the system compares new images (from a surveillance camera, for example) with more than 12 million photos in the FBI database. The software calculates a faceprint on the basis of 37 points and the distances between them.
