Fugitive arrested by police

A 25-year-old Brawley woman who allegedly left the confines of a Brawley-based federal rehabilitation center in November was arrested at 10:45 p.m. Friday in the 900 block of K Street by police, the county Sheriff’s Office arrest records stated.

Samantha A. Adame was booked into county jail by Brawley police and held without bail. Adame had previously been convicted of smuggling methamphetamine into the United States from Mexico, a federal court complaint stated.
