Two selected to All-Star game

SAN DIEGO — The San Diego County Basketball Coaches Association announced the teams for the 2017 Boys’ and Girls’ Senior All-Star Basketball games that will be held on April 7 at Mira Mesa High School.

Two local seniors made the list with Calexico High’s Kayla Rubio and Imperial High’s Britney Jarvis being named to the South roster, which will be coached by Roderick Cooksey of Lincoln High.

Jarvis will also compete in a 3-point contest prior to the start of the All-Star game. The girls’ game will be played at 5:30 p.m., while the boys will play at 8 p.m.
