WILSON

-

This season, the Wildcat senior set new records in the 100 breast, 200 free and 100 butterfly, rewriting the Wildcat history books in six of the eight individual events.

Wilson said he hopes to own all eight BUHS school records before his time as a Wildcat comes to an end and credits his family, coaches and friends with keeping him going all these years and who were all present during his signing ceremony at the Lions Center last week.

“I can’t wait to see what he’ll do these next four years,” said Imperial Valley Desert Aquatics head coach Nikie Lopez. “He’s ready. He swims 11 months out of the year and I just know he’s going to blossom even more and I can’t wait.”

Wilson’s Wildcat head coach D’Ann Luckey said she was also looking forward to seeing Wilson succeed after having seen him grow up in the water.

“Ross’ freshman season I was so excited because I know the swimmer I was getting,” Luckey said.

Wilson will join a Red Men squad that won the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships earlier last month and wrapped up its season at the NCAA Div. III Regional.

“I’m definitely looking forward to being on the team and being a part of the swimming community and seeing how far I can go,” Wilson said.
