Brawley, Imperial get consideration times
IMPERIAL — The swim teams from Brawley Union and Imperial highs met for an Imperial Valley League meet at Imperial Valley College here Tuesday.
The Brawley girls won 121-43 and the Brawley boys won 117-42, with both teams earning CIF consideration times on the day.
For the Brawley girls Larissa Avina, Logan Newlowill, Jessica Acosta and Paige Smelser won the 200 medley relay with a consideration time of (2 minutes, 11.90 seconds) and the 400 free relay with a consideration time of 4:12.84. Acosta also won the 200 free with a consideration time of 2:11.69 and the 100 butterfly with a consideration time of 1:09.95.
Also for the Wildcats, Nemlowill won the 50 Free (28.07) and 100 breast (1:21.43).
For the Brawley boys Brandon Castro, Ross Wilson, Alec Walker and Brandon Goddard won the 200 medley relay with a consideration time of 1:58.32 and the 200 free relay with a consideration time of 1:41.13.
Wilson also won the 50 free with a consideration time of 22.93 and the 500 free with a consideration time of 5:26.02, which broke the Brawley school record. Wilson now holds seven of eight individual records at Brawley High.
For the Imperial boys Joseph Scariano, Kevin Barrientos, Gus Jimenez, and Brad Thomason won the 400 free relay with a consideration time of 4:03.10.
