BRAWLEY — The Imperial Valley League swim season came to a close Thursday at the Brawley Lions Center with the conclusion of the IVL Swimming Championships.

Swimmers from various schools earned consideration and automatic times for the CIF-San Diego Section Swimming championships, which will be held Wednesday at Granite Hills High School in El Cajon.

Earning a CIF consideration time in the girls’ 200 medley relay was the championship team from Brawley made up of Larissa Avina, Logan Nemlowill, Jessica Acosta and Paige Smelser (2 minutes, 4.78 seconds).
