RUBEN CASAREZ V/S IID WHO WILL WIN?

- Ruben Casarez 11055315

The Black Americans have done the La nos a lot of good by figh ng for our civil rights. Without their civil aggressiveness, our success would be limited by those who have hos li es against us. Thanks to the NAACP and Ray Riena, IID was legally forced to accept the La nos into their workplace. Unfortunately, the IID Directors have been a disappointment and have never as a group supported the progress of the La nos. Some La nos say I should hide behind a tree rather than legally fight the IID clique with its control of millions of dollars of the public money, its’ lawyers and its historic culture of hos li es against the La no community. Not all of us are afraid of a Goliath, some of us will take a stand.

On May 10th, at the Court of Appeals in San Diego,

I will present my oral appeal without a lawyer. The IID clique are undermining our Cons tu onal Law of equal treatment and freedom from discrimina on. The clique is saying a signature obtained from an employee can eliminate your legal protec on from discrimina on and equality. In essence, IID feels they have the right to lynch an employee at will, allowing the non-La no Clique to discipline at will, eliminate pay, prevent promo ons, place the employee under surveillance, and terminate employee. According to IID’s Lawyer, Frank Oswalt, (Oswalt has been involved in legal ac on against La nos, and has been richly financially rewarded by the IID Directors for his efforts) the abusive conduct against La nos isn’t outrageous and is acceptable IID conduct.

I have appealed to the Calif. Court of Appeals due to Judge Ulloa agreeing with IID. Judge Ulloa should have recused himself from this case because of his son-in-law working for IID. If Judge Ulloa had ruled against IID, the IID clique has the money, ability and power to retaliate against the son-in-law. Norma Galindo, recipient of MANA awards, agreed with the IID Clique, not only did she terminate me, to sa sfy her vindic veness, is willing to drop the nuclear bomb on our civil rights. If IID prevails, IID will be able to legally abuse any IID employee who complains of discrimina on and hos li es. Other companies could do the same. MANA give her another award. My argument at the Court of Appeals will simply be, IID is a community based agency, with an 85% La no customer base. IID shouldn’t be spending public money derived from the La nos to eliminate their civil rights.

Signing an IID form should not be viewed the same as signing your soul to the Devil.

IID can’t throw us into a swamp but believe they can legally lynch us at their pleasure, under their belief, civil rights can be eliminated. As an American I will take a stand for our civil rights. We do not need IID to De-Americanize us.

It will be interes ng on how the Court of Appeals rules. Para nosotros? Or for the Uncle and Niece tag team at the IID? Who are more than willing to suppress our civil rights.
