LA businessmen tour city.
Los Angeles businessmen visited Mexicali in order to create strategic alliances to supply aerospace companies, said the state in a press release.
Secretary of Economic Development Carlo Bonfante said the company representatives are members of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce.
The three day tour includes seminars and meetings.
The tour was possible thanks to LA Mayor Eric Garcetti’s office, the US Department of Commerce, Mexicali Industrial Development Commission and PIMSA representative Xavier Rivas.
The visiting group includes representatives of 11 companies of the aerospace sector.
Bonfante said the meetings seek to improve connection between both cities companies, identify potential business agreements and an increased cooperation.
The tour included a seminar held Monday at a private college in Mexicali about the local 50year aerospace industry.
The businessmen met Tuesday with Mexicali Mayor Gustavo Sánchez at City Hall.
