RHUNELL JONES June 13, 1923 - July 6, 2017

Rhunell Jones, 94, of El Centro passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017.

He was born June 13, 1923 in Fayettevil­le, N.C. and later married Arbutus Dixon on June 18, 1946 in El Centro.

He worked for Department of Public Works for 32 years and City of El Centro Recreation Department for 17 years. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, where he received the Philippine Liberation Victory Medal and also served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post 105, Early Risers Kiwanis Club and was one of the founding member of Local NAACP.

He is survived by his wife, Arbutus Jones; sons Ronnie (Irene) and Marc; daughters, Gail Jones and Joann Cochran; grandchild­ren, Patricia Jones-Sanchez (Jesse), Daune Linnen and John Jackson. He is survived by his sister, Portia Jones Covington, Valerea J. Russ and brother, Dwight Jones.

Service will be held on Wednesday, July, 19th at 9 a.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro and will be officiated by Rev. Avery D Dees. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.

TERRY MCAFEE July 18, 1953 - July 5, 2017

Terry McAfee was born and raised in Brawley, California and a 1972 BUHS graduate. He relocated to El Cajon, CA and worked 7 years on the Scarab and Scorpio undersea vehicles at Straza Division of Ametek.

In 1980, Terry began his career with the CA Highway Patrol as an Officer in El Cajon and retired in 2005 from El Cajon, Border Division. He had a larger than life personalit­y and endeavored in many unique adventures during his lifetime. In 2015 Terry moved to Northern Florida settling on a small ranch.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe; mother, Gladys and sister, Kay.

He is survived by his daughters, Serra McAfee and Katie McAfee Udovich and husband Jesse; grandchild­ren, Dillon, Logan, Caitlin and Ethan Udovich; brother, Robert McAfee; sister, Julia Sara Kay McAfee.

PRISCILLA “SALLY” D. GRAY Oct. 1949 - July 2017

Sally was a very loving mother, a talented artist, a smart and beautiful woman. She loved and was loved by God, her family and her friends.

Sally is survived by her daughter Kimberly Watson; son, Damien Huff, son Joshua Watson, daughter Ashley Huff; brothers Allen Evans and Ron Evans; sisters Barbara Doyle and Debra Evans. She is painting pictures in the sky with Jesus.

Viewing will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 3 to 6 p.m. with the Funeral Service on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10 a.m., both to be held at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, CA. The Graveside Service will immediatel­y follow the Funeral Service at Ceres Memorial Park.

JUDITH MARTINEZ VILLASENOR Nov. 20, 1944 - July 7, 2017

Judith Martinez Villasenor, 72, of El Centro, CA passed away on July 7, 2017.

Judith was born on November 20, 1944 in Colima, Mexico.

She is survived by her daughter, Annie; son, Mark and 1 grandson.

OPAL DOYLE Apr. 10, 1942 - July 10, 2017

Opal Doyle, 75, of Yuma, AZ passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 of Alzheimer’s Disease in Emerald Springs Memory Care Center.

She was born April 10, 1942 in San Rafael, CA and later married Jimmie Doyle on April 13, 1958 in Reno, Nevada. She owned and operated Town and County Real Estate for 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Alfred Maharry; brother, Richard (Dick) Maharry.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Doyle of Yuma, AZ; daughters, Cindy (Terrance) Eaton, Salt Lake City, UT, Tammy (David) Slater, Yuma, AZ, Julie (David) Hampton, Chinle, AZ; son, Jimmie (Daniela) Doyle, Boulevard, CA; sisters, Judy Peterson and Donna Allison; brother, Steve Maharry; 13 grandchild­ren, 11 great-grandchild­ren and beloved companion, Tuffy of Yuma, AZ.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 5 p.m. at Sunset Vista Funeral Home. Gravesite blessing will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Sunset Vista Cemetery.
