Arcelia Marie “Sally, Baby Sally” Real-Johnson, 50, of El Centro ended her battle with cancer on August 13, 2017. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, friends and her loving companion Steve Olson. She was born on August 29, 1966 in El Centro, CA.

Sally attended elementary school in Calexico and El Centro and was a graduate of Central Union High School Class of 1984. She then attended Imperial Valley College where she graduated with honors in June of 1989. She continued school while working and raising her daughters. She attended University of Phoenix, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in June 2004. Sally had a successful working career, ending as a Human Resources Manager for Spreckels Sugar Company in Brawley.

Sally was a caring, smart and classy woman. She enjoyed socializing, shopping, music, gardening and being with her family. Because of her sweet nature, she was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nacho and Tillie De La Rosa, Juan and Antonia Real and her father, Juan C. Real.

She is survived by her loving family: daughters, Leslie (Danny) Fernandez and Kelsie Laine; her beloved grandchildren, Micah and Mila Fernandez; the father of her daughters, Lonnie Johnson; niece Bailey; mother, Sally Brewer; siblings, Tillie and Ralph; tio, Jesse (Laura); aunts, Pinkie, Tencha and numerous other relatives.

A Memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church, 450 S. Waterman, El Centro, CA on September 12, 2017 at 11 a.m.
