Eleno passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Eleno was born on August 21, 1936 in Fresno and was preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Juana P. Delgado; uncle, Alejandro Parra; sister, Amelia Castro; sister-in-law, Amada Delgado; niece, Jenny and nephews, Daniel and Ronnie.

He is survived by his sister, Concha Contreras (Pifas) and brother, Chris Delgado of Prescott, AZ.

He moved to and lived in Brawley as a boy. He was married to Paula Gastelo Delgado on June 24, 1956. They were happily married for 61 years. They had four children, Norma Delgado (Daniel Bertheaud), Helen Dominguez (Hugo), Elizabeth Carrillo (Anthony) and Edward Delgado (Terry). Eleno had 14 grandchild­ren, David Rookie Pena (Carmen), Max Pena of Carson City, NV, Eric Pena, Monique Carrillo and fiance, Christina Davila (Manuel), Jacob Carrillo (Renee) of Phoenix, AZ, Hugo Dominguez Jr. (Claudia), Savannah Carrillo (Omar), Samantha Lopez (Johnny), Stephen Dominguez (Kaylie), Bianca R. Pena, Alyssa Dominguez, Hannah Delgado and Isaac Delgado. Eleno was blessed with 21 great-grandchild­ren. Additional­ly, he is survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

He retired as a Supervisor of Maintenanc­e for Brawley High School in 1998 after 31 years of service. Eleno dedicated his life in service to his family and enjoyed gardening and tinkering in his shop.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 2nd at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley at 9 a.m. Rosary will follow at 10 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held at Riverview Cemetery after mass.
