EL CENTRO — Since Pearson Brothers Winery opened up shop in 2014 in the Imperial Valley, they have steadily grown to make premiere honey-based wine.

Currently, the winery is receiving the boost that is having A-list celebrities popping its bottles of wine.

Producers from the NBC hit show “This Is Us” recently reached out to the brothers to see if they could provide cases of wine to cast members after winning two Primetime Emmy Awards along with 10 nominations.

They reached out to the local winery specifically because the winery owners and show’s main characters have the same last name — Pearson.

“This Is Us” is centered around the Pearson family and their daily struggles to find love, friendship and everything in between.

Its main characters are Milo Ventimiglia who plays Jack Pearson, Mandy Moore who plays Rebecca Pearson, Sterling K. Brown who plays Randall Pearson, Chrissy Metz who plays Kate Pearson and many more.

Brown won an Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama Series

while Gerald McRaney won for Guest Actor in a Drama Series recently.

The first season of the show aired from September 2016 through March. Season two kicked off in late September with four shows aired so far.

Recently, Pearson Brothers wine has been posted on Instagram by @thisisusfancrew and Erica DeSpain, a contributing blogger to NBC’s Today.com. Their wine was distributed in the “This Is Us” Premiere Essentials Gift Bag before the second season kicked off.

“For us, it’s a chance to get nationwide exposure for our brand. If Mandy Moore or one of those people pick it up and they’re going to Instagram it, we’re going to be on Twitter and all this stuff (social media),” said Dale. “We were kind of like the unofficial wine of the show.”

Michael, better known as Mike, said the social media buzz is starting to garner them attention.

“It’s huge, it really is,” said Mike. “If these influential people are able to try the wine and comment on it and get the name out there, other people might follow suit.”

Pearson Brothers Winery provided 500 bottles that were distributed at the premiere and given to other NBC show cast members.
