Woman airlifted in vehicle versus pedestrian incident.

Man arrested at Hamburger Stand for attempted lewd acts.

A female pedestrian was airlifted after being involved in a vehicle versus pedestrian incident between Imperial Avenue and Cruickshank Drive on Tuesday night, stated El Centro Police Department call logs.

The incident was first reported at about 7:30 p.m. after the female victim was found in front of Chase Bank on the ground unconscious, but breathing. A reporting party stated to police that the woman was hit by a vehicle.

A Gold Cross ambulance was requested and a REACH Air Medical helicopter responded at about 8:02 p.m.

Highway 86 was momentarily shut down for the helicopter landing, which was about 100 yards north of the scene.

The vehicle and driver in question remained on scene. Call logs made no mention of an arrest or the condition of the victim following the airlift. Exterior cameras from businesses within the area were checked for footage of the incident.
