Stu­dent ar­rested after school shoot­ing threat

A West Shores High School stu­dent was ar­rested Tues­day night after threat­en­ing to shoot the school stated county Sher­iff’s Of­fice ar­rest records.

The stu­dent, a male ju­ve­nile, re­port­edly posted on so­cial me­dia that he was going “to shoot the school,” stated ICSO ac­tiv­ity logs.

At about 10 a.m. Tues­day, county Sher­iff’s deputies ar­rived at the stu­dent’s res­i­dence and spoke with the stu­dent, who stated he did post the state­ment as a prank.

Deputies spoke with the par­ent of the stu­dent and checked his room for any sus­pi­cious ma­te­rial. No sus­pi­cious ma­te­rial was found and the ju­ve­nile was ar­rested at about 5:30 p.m. Tues­day.

County sher­iff’s deputies first re­sponded to the in­ci­dent at about 9 a.m. Tues­day.
