Two women ar­rested for felony drug of­fenses

On Tues­day, two women pre­vi­ously ar­rested in Yuma, Ariz., were re-ar­rested at the Braw­ley Court­house for an al­leged drug of­fense and con­spir­acy to com­mit a crime, stated county Sher­iff’s Of­fice ar­rest records.

Vanessa Duarte, 29, was taken into cus­tody at 3:35 p.m. Tues­day at the court by county Sher­iff’s deputies while Guadalupe I. Rivera, 40, was taken into cus­tody at 3:43 p.m. Both women were pre­vi­ously ar­rested at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 5 be­tween south­bound High­way 86 and Poe Road in West­mor­land by Im­pe­rial Val­ley Nar­cotics Task Force agents.

The two women were then each booked into county jail Oct. 6 for al­leged pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance for sale, trans­port­ing or sell­ing a con­trolled sub­stance, us­ing a false com­part­ment and pos­ses­sion of an as­sault weapon, stated ar­rest records.

It was not clear whether both women had been in cus­tody at the time of their sec­ond ar­rest Tues­day.
