Available at locations throughout the Valley may include: medication support, crisis intervention and specialized services can include treatment for thought and behavior change, coping and treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder. Moral Reconation Training (MRT) is a new service offered by ICBHS as a systematic strategy that works to decrease recidivism among juvenile and adult criminal offenders by increasing moral reasoning, Joaquin Zambrano, ICBHS Program Supervisor and MRT facilitator, said during a Summit workshop. Services are available at various locations for children and adolescents with severe emotional, mental and/or behavioral problems and their families. Services are provided for children and adolescents with such mental health disorders as ADHD, anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, bipolar, etc. One Summit workshop focused on how awareness helps protect the community from the tragedy of suicide. Julio Camargo, an ICBHS Mental Health Counselor, spoke about the evidence based training ICBHS provides to professionals and the community to create a safety net of awareness to prevent suicides. In another workshop Mayra Andrade, ICBHS Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician, spoke about the signs and symptoms of psychosis and the importance of seeking treatment early. One Summit workshop provided information about the impact of substance use on local youth and the signs and symptoms of concern. Other workshops covered such subjects as healthy relationships; eating disorders; and ways to manage emotions with mindfulness and stress/anger management techniques.
