Quirina “Carrie” H. Hernandez, 71, of Brawley, CA was born on March 15, 1946 in Brawley, CA. to the late Rito and Maria Hernandez. She lived her whole life in Brawley where she attended Brawley Elementary Schools, and graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1965. She then attended the Job Corp in Omaha, Nebraska where she learned various trades.

On November 2, 2017 our beloved Carrie joined her loved ones in Heaven. Her smile, quick wit and sense of humor will be greatly missed. To those that were dear to her, Carrie’s ever- loving heart will always be remembered. Carrie did not have surviving children but as a Nanny, she cared for and loved countless children as her own. She was a devoted sister and aunt that would do nothing short of moving mountains to help loved ones.

Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, Rito and Maria Hernandez; infant son, Raymond Felix III; brothers, Juan, Albert, and Rito Hernandez; sisters, Rachel Ybarra, Victoria Alonzo, and Frances Gallegos.

Quirina is survived by her sister, Beatrice “Ticha” Torres of Burbank, CA and brother, Alfonso “Poncho” Hernandez of Brawley, CA; numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Rosary will be held Wednesday November 15, 2017 at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley at 10 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley following Mass.
