Pet of the week
Mama Gem 4 years Female
Pit bull Blue and white 45 pounds
Mama Gem came into our care from Animal Control a little over two months ago. When she came in it was clear that she was about to pop, and two weeks later she gave birth to nine puppies. Two of the puppies were born very unhealthy and unfortunately, despite many trips to the vet, they both did not make it. The other seven puppies are doing great and almost all of them have been adopted and now it’s time for Mama Gem to find her happy furever after!
Mama Gem’s foster family says that she is a very sweet girl. She absolutely loves kids and gets along great with large-sized dogs. Unfortunately, she does not like small dogs or cats. She does know a few basic commands and she loves car rides and rides very well. On top of all that, she is one of the biggest couch potatoes that her foster family has ever met.
If you would like to set up a meet and greet with Mama Gem, please call or come by our shelter during regular business hours. Mama Gem’s adoption fee is $50 (only for the month of December).
