Mary Helen “Nena” Juarez, 74, of Orangevale, CA passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 of natural causes.

Mary was born on May 22, 1943 in Brawley, CA. She attended IVC where she obtained her G.E.D. and A.A. She worked at Camposinos Unidos and years after as a Social Worker for Imperial County and then for Placer County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Juarez; son, Michael and granddaugh­ter, Kristie Stephens.

She is survived by her son, Gilbert Juarez Jr. of Brawley, CA; son, Alfred (Dora) Juarez of Beaumont; daughter, Teresa (John) Stephens of Orangevale; son, Jess (Julia) Juarez of Fresno; daughter, Gloria (Juan) Cornejo of Sacramento; 11 grandchild­ren; one great-great grandchild­ren; sister, Lupe (Juan) Virgin, Dora (Frank) Rodriguez both of Brawley; brothers, David Guzman, Ricky (Rachel) Guzman of El Centro, Henry (Yolanda) Guzman and Tony (Lena) Guzman both of San Diego and numerous neices and nephews.

Visitation and rosary will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 6 p.m. at St. Margarets Mary Church in Brawley, CA. Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary’s Church in Brawley, CA. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley, CA.
