Woman arrested for embezzlement

A 38-year-old woman employed as a clerk was arrested at 10 p.m. Saturday by Calexico police at the downtown port of entry for alleged embezzlement, the county Sheriff’s Office arrest records stated.

Viviana Liera, city of residence unknown, was booked into county jail for embezzlement by a public officer, as well as suspicion of two grand theft offenses, before being released on a $5,000 bond, the arrest records stated.
