Newspaper office vandalized

An individual was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly vandalizing a newspaper office in order to attempt a burglary, said the Municipal Public Safety Department.

Authorities said the suspect was identified as Ruben “Doe,” 51.

The suspect was apprehended at La Crónica newspaper main office located at De la Patria Avenue and Del Hospital Street at the Civic Center, just one block south of City Hall.

Authorities said the suspect caused damages to a glass door and a safe but was unable to steal anything.
