Pedestrian hospitalized after hit-and-run incident

A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck in a hit-and-run incident Tuesday night near Highway 86 and Encinas Avenue, stated Calexico Police Department activity logs.

Calexico police officers responded to scene at 10 p.m., and the pedestrian was eventually transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center.

The vehicle that fled the scene was described as a 2007 Honda bearing California license plates 5WXT542.
