Wildcats hang tough with Valhala
BRAWLEY — The Brawley Union High swim team faced off against Valhalla in a nonleague meet here on Tuesday afternoon, with Valhalla working to secure a pair of wins as the boys won 117-43 and the girls won 96-54.
The Norsemen swept all but two of the events at the meet, with Jessica Acosta and Logan Nemlowill taking first place in a pair of events for the girls.
Acosta topped the 200 individual medley in 2:33.88, while Nemlowill won the 100 breast in 1:15.61.
For the boys, Alec Walker took second in the 100 fly in 1:06.56.
The Wildcats return to the water on Thursday, traveling to face Imperial at Imperial Valley College.
