- David McAllaster, Sr. 79, Imperial

ROBERT A. MARTIN Oct. 20, 1939 - Mar. 23, 2018

Robert Martin, 78, of San Diego passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 of natural causes.

He was born on October 20, 1939 in Peoria, IL.

Robert attended Holtville High where he met Patrica Granillo and were married for 58 years. He graduated in 1957 and went on to attended Cal Poly Pamona where he graduated with a master in business and marketing and also a bachelor of science in arts and science in 1961. Robert played football while attending Cal Poly Pamona. Robert was a avid golfer and football player. He was inducted to the Imperial Valley Football Hall of Fame. Robert was a resident of Imperial Valley where he was self employed, he was involved in farming/agricultur­e and real estate also he was a founding member of Community Valley Bank. Robert was also a 40 year resident of Mission Beach San Diego where he was involved in real estate and amusement park industries. He was a loving father, husband, grandpa and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Martin; mother, Edith Martin, father, Orville Martin and brother, Terry Martin.

Robert is survived by his son, Thomas Martin; daughter-in-law, Lorena Martin both of Mexicali, MX; son, Brian Martin of Greenville, SC and brother, Jim of San Diego; granddaugh­ters, Paris Martin of San Diego and Farida Martin and many nieces and nephews.

Gravside service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Terrance Park Cemetery Holtville and will be officiated by Father Mark Edney. Celebratio­n of Life will immediatel­y follow at The Holtville Athletic Club.

The family suggests memorials be sent to: The Diabetes Associatio­n.

LORENZO MARTINEZ FIOL Oct. 16, 1936 - Mar. 24, 2018

Lorenzo Martinez Fiol, 81, of Imperial, CA passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

Lorenzo was born on October 16, 1936 in Mexicali, MX. He married Bertha Martinez on July 15, 1962 in Mexicali, MX.

He is survived by his 6 siblings, Ricardo, Roberto, Fernando, Bertha Alicai, Ramona and Lorena; 9 grandkids.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in Calexico, CA. Service will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico, CA wit Father Jose officiatin­g. Burial will immediatel­y follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Calexico, CA.

PEDRO M. MEJORADO April 29, 1935 - Mar. 18, 2018

Pedro M. Mejorado, 82, of Holtville passed away peacefully on March 18, 2018.

Pedro was born on April 29, 1935 in Otaez, Durango, Mexico. Remembered, as a very hard working man.

Pedro is survived by his daughters, Sandra, Carmen and Mariana; sons, Eddie and Pete; wife, Socorro; grandchild­ren, Vanessa, Eddie, Sebastian, Abigail, Jared, Jonathan, Jasmine, Nicolas, Isabella, Joshua and Andrew.

Pedro was a beloved grandfathe­r, who always loved playing with his Grandchild­ren and mak- ing them smile.

Visitation will be held on April 2, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in El Centro, CA. Graveside Services will be held at 9 a.m., on April 3, 2018 at Terrace Park Cemetery in Holtville, CA.

DAVID KIRK MCALLASTER, SR. Sept. 14, 1939 - Mar. 23, 2018

David Kirk McAllaster, Sr. of Imperial, CA passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 after a long illness.

David was born on September 14, 1939 in Clarinda, IA. He moved to El Centro as a teenager and graduated from Central High School in 1957. He married Kay Kendle in 1963, they made their home in Imperial, CA and raised two sons Kirk and Todd McAllaster. He worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for over 20 years and the Imperial Irrigation District for over 20 years. A long-time valley resident, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an exceptiona­l husband, father, grandfathe­r and friend and was loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel McAllaster; brother, James and parents-in-law, Jake and Sally Little.

He is survived by his wife, Kay McAllaster; son, Kirk McAllaster, his wife Lisa and their daughters Darby, Chloe and Summer; son, Todd McAllaster, his fiancee Eleanor, their son David Ryan and her daughter Catherine Dahm; brother, Ronnie and his wife Lynn; niece, Christy Martinez; and nephew, Wesley McAllaster.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Imperial Valley Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
