Teenager caught for homicide

A 15-year-old boy was arrested Monday evening after allegedly killing another teenager with a firearm, said the Municipal Department of Public Safety.

Authorities said the suspect was identified as Brian Misael “Doe.”

The incident was reported at 11:50 p.m. at Cosalapa Street and Santa Elena Street at Fraccionamiento San Miguel subdivision in eastern Mexicali.

According to the police, a witness reported the incident at the emergency center.

Moments later, police officers arrived at the scene and found the victim, Carlos López Parra, 19.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.

A witness accused the minor of the murder.

Police officers were unable to find the firearm used during the murder, and only found a 9mm shell casing.

The suspect was turned over to a prosecutorial agency.
