Local singer acts in series

Mexicali singer Angie Vázquez, who belongs to the Vázquez Sounds trio along with her brothers, appeared over the weekend in Episode 8 of the Luis Miguel series.

The local artist, who became famous years ago after a cover video of Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” was on YouTube, acted as Diana Correa, a Spanish singer who auditioned for Luis Miguel’s father, Luis Rey, in Spain.

“I recorded the episode in December,” said the 17-year-old. “I was told to remain in silence about it until broadcasted.”

The singer sang Arena, a song previously released by Spanish group Trigo Limpio.
