OCTAVIO SOTO JR.

July 13, 1963 - June 4, 2018

Octavio Soto Jr., 54, of El Centro passed away of natural causes Monday, June 4, 2018.

Octavio was born on July 13, 1963 in Calexico to Octavio and Maria Estela Soto. He was raised in Calexico and was a proud Bulldog.

He married Anarosa Guadalupe Torres on October 5, 1990 and began their life in El Centro. They had four children Ingrid (Carlos Lopez), Octavio, Stephanie and Isaias Soto. Octavio worked for 23 years as a Detention Officer. He has two loving grandsons Esteban and Carlos. He was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. Octavio was a hard-working man and a diehard Chargers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family the most.

Octavio is survived by his wife; four children; his mother; his sisters, Diana Romero, Yolanda Romero (Roberto Romero), Estela Soto, Debbie Soto, and Yvonne Rodriguez (Jose Rodriguez); his two grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Octavio Soto. He will truly be missed.

Viewing services will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Hems Brothers Mortuary in Calexico. Services will commence at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Calexico. Burial will immediately follow at Mountain View Cemetery, also in Calexico.
