ANNA LIZA MONTANO OTIS

Aug. 20, 1959 - May 29, 2018

Anna Liza Montano Otis, age 58 was called to her heavenly home on May 29, 2018 after a valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.

Liza was born on August 20, 1959 in Calexico, CA to Julian Raul Montano and Lorenia Montano. She was a 1977 graduate of Vincent Memorial Catholic High School. She married Glen Otis. She worked as a French and Spanish teacher at VMCHS and IVC, displaying a wonderful knowledge of multiple languages.

Liza truly lived life to her fullest through simples pleasures; chatting with friends and family. Liza had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She enjoyed all outdoors activities and traveling. She loved her two boys dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Glen Otis of 34 years; sons, Glen Gordon and Kurt William Otis; mother, Lorenia Montano; brothers, Julian (Celina), Ernesto (Stephanie); sisters, Lori (Ralph), Annette (Alberto) and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Calexico, CA on Saturday, June 23, 2018 with rosary at 10:30 a.m. and mass at 11 a.m.
