Author presents book in Mexicali library

American author Kevin Gerard presents the second book of his “Los Dragones de Grieta Oscura” saga Friday in Mexicali’s State Central Public Library.

The author will meet children and youths who take part of the summer vacation program at the library, said the Institute of Culture of Baja California. Gerard, who is also a professor at California State University, San Marcos will donate copies of his book in Spanish to local libraries, the institute said.

The presentati­on takes place at 11 a.m. at the library located at Alvaro Obregón Avenue, just across the dean’s office of the Autonomous University of Baja California. Admission is free, the institute said.

The second book of the saga shows the story of a Latino boy named Diego who embarks into a wonderful adventure in a magic world along with his dragon called “Magnífico.”
