Men indicted for robbery, attempted murder

Two men were indicted by a state judge for their alleged involvement in a robbery and attempted murder case reported in March.

The Attorney General’s office said Juan Manuel “Doe” and Manuel Andrés “Doe” for an incident reported at Fraccionamiento Lomas Altas neighborhood in southern Mexicali.

According to the agency, the suspects are said to have brandished a machete and a knife against a male victim who was walking on the street.

The suspects allegedly stole the victim’s wallet and a smartphone.

The suspects also allegedly injured the victim’s left arm when he attempted to fend off an attack to his head.

The judge decided to keep the suspect behind bars during trial and gave detectives three months to close the investigation.
