Time for

TiiD to get out of

he IID needs to proceed with litigation and against Renova Energy especially. Riverside County is using a non-profit and a for-profit operated by a greedy [Vincent] Battaglia and Renova Energy to force solar panels installs.

IID needs to publicize in Riverside County that they are going to sell all of their electric customers hookups and IID assets and infrastructure to So Cal Energy or Southern California Edison — or Sempra Energy, for that matter (after the Texas purchase,

riverside?

this would almost be petty cash).

Riverside customers would then be paying a much higher rate that included a goodsized profit.

Let’s get the IID customers in Riverside County riled up about where their electric bills are going to jump up to, because they are going to pay big money for their electricity whether it’s an electric company and/or Renova Energy for Chinese solar panels (with Trump’s 25 percent tariffs applied) or for USAmade panels.

IID is a non-profit that has to operate on a tight budget and plan for expansions and contractions. They are customer-owned and have met the state obligations for solar energy generation and cannot spend millions to expand rapidly to unincorporated areas that would go solar while being unable to charge for providing service and standby service, departing load fees, etc. These IID costs would not be recoverable for 20 to 30 years or more. Who is providing the electrical service to these 2,200-plus homes now?

I’d be in favor of selling all of IID assets in Riverside County and letting their bills go up 30 percent to 50 percent or more for electric standby and solar.

Because solar is NOT cheap, and they are going to be paying for panels, installation, battery backup, etc. for the next 10 to 15 years, plus utility power used at night if they don’t have a large battery setup.

We are growing and building houses and businesses here in Imperial County; we can use the reasonable electric cost here! Let So Cal Energy or Sempra Energy or Southern California Edison buy the Riverside County electrical services that IID has installed. With climate change (and it’s real, Donald), we need or will need the power here.

I’d bet Battaglia promised some big campaign contributions to go along with those indemnifications, especially if he gets most of the solar panels to install.
